Welcome! Please watch the introduction of this module below before you get started:
Every time you attend a conference, discussion group or event, take note - someone was responsible for leading that. Someone had a thought that if they gather like-minded people together in one room, they can mobilize their mission further and be seen as a leader of influence while doing it. That someone can also be YOU.
Mastermind groups offer the support and resources you need to exponentially accelerate your career goals. The tools here can help you create another excellent opportunity - to form your own professional group, "hunting and gathering" like-minded professionals, you are regarded as a leader of influence. People who bring others together, also known as "bridgers" are naturally considered centers of influence.
If somewhere down the line, you also wish to lead a mentoring program, become a mentor and give back to others that need support, this module will also help you begin that initiative.
.There is power in numbers. One of the most powerful tools ever used by successful people—whether the world’s richest industrialists from the early 20th Century or today’s modern
icons of business—is called the mastermind group. Napoleon Hill first talked
about mastermind groups in his classic book Think and Grow Rich. And it’s the
one concept people most reference when they credit any one thing with helping
them become successful. Andrew Carnegie had a mastermind group. So did Henry Ford. In fact, Ford would mastermind with brilliant thinkers like Thomas Edison, Harvey Firestone and others in a group they held at their winter mansions in Coral Gables, Florida. They knew, as millions of others have discovered since, that a mastermind
group can focus special energy on your effort—in the form of knowledge,
resources and spiritual energy, too. While you must always do the work of
becoming a great success, a mastermind group can harness and maximize the
spiritual focus behind your success. It’s this spiritual aspect that Napoleon Hill
wrote about extensively. In fact, he said that if we are in tune with THE
mastermind—that is, God, the Universal Power or whatever term you use for
the all-powerful life force, we have significantly more positive energy available
to us—power that can be focused on our success. In short, “mastermind” is both that power coming to us from above—from the God force—but also that power which comes to us from each other. Together, we know more and can focus more energy than any one of us can alone.

Drop out of the negativity club
Are all of your relationships supporting you? On the flip side and unlike masterminds, be aware of who needs to tone down their worrisome and negativity outlooks on life and/or exit from your circle of trust. There are people, possibly family or close friends who want what's best for you, however they may also (unknowingly) play a role in pushing away your desires. By the mere act of your "tuning into" the woes and complaints they have around their own lives or how you are living yours, they can contribute to feeding any self-doubt related to your goals, and eat up your time that you could otherwise have spent elsewhere if not for a strong sense of obligation..
Here's how it works: you walk away from a conversation letting their warnings and opinions sink in. Now your environment is no longer supported for success and you don't have that same enthusiasm to follow through with some of your commitments. A state of resignation sinks in which further deepens upon every subsequent conversation you have with your negativity club.
'Your time is limited, don't waste it living someone else's life, trapped by dogma - living with the results of other people's thinking. Don't let the noise of others' opinions drown out your own inner voice.' - Steve Jobs
